Many players craft up elaborate backstories for their characters, but it’s rare that they create their character’s endgame. I’m not necessarily talking about how the envision what happens when they die, and while that can certainly be a part of their endgame vision, I’m also referring to the possibility of retirement, riding off into the sunset, becoming a malevolent ruler… Their vision of an endgame can be every bit as important as their backstory.
