D&D / MtG Crossover???!?!

Looks like two worlds may collide again, this time in the form of the card-flopping game Magic the Gathering.

A few months back, we did a review of Dungeon & Dragons Mythic Odysseys of Theros, which was a campaign setting set in the familiar landscape found withing Magic the Gathering.

This go around, Dungeons & Dragons visits the world of Magic the Gathering!

There are four of each basic land in the set of Adventures in the Forgotten Realms and the flavor text helps brings the storytelling and roleplaying of Dungeons & Dragons to Magic to the forefront, and hey.. a crafty Dungeon Master could easily use that flavor text as inspiration for a future adventure for their players!

Dungeons & Dragons contains thousands of items, abilities, spells, and monsters and while they couldn’t cram that much variety into Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, there are quite a few that role players will recognize.

One such monster that players of D&D should recognize is…

Tiamat!

She even has a full card art variant:

Wizards is keeping the Baleful Beholder’s card text a mystery for now, but here is the artwork:
